Description  D-Amino acid oxidase (DAO or DAAO) is a flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD)-containing flavoproteins that catalyse the oxidative deamination of d-amino acids with oxygen to generate the corresponding 2-oxo acids along with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia.
