| Description | Viral protein involved in the evasion of host adaptive immune response by inhibiting the TAP complex. Transporter associated with antigen (TAP), composed of two subunits TAP1 and TAP2, is required for the translocation of peptides into the ER, where they are loaded onto MHC class I. Thereafter, the viral peptides are presented to cytotoxic T lymphocytes at the cell surface and trigger immune response.
