GeneRIF (Gene Reference into Function) :

Annotation  The ACC oxidase gene is suggested to play a major role in ethylene production that leads to flood tolerance. This study revealed that ACC oxidase overexpression could possibly compensate for the loss in enzyme activity caused by hypoxia during flooding conditions, by promoting the increase in stem width and formation of expanded aerenchymatic tissues.
