| Description | This domain is found in the lipoamide acyltransferase component of the branched-chain alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complex , which catalyses the overall conversion of alpha-keto acids to acyl-CoA and carbon dioxide [ ]. It contains multiple copies of three enzymatic components: branched-chain alpha-keto acid decarboxylase (E1), lipoamide acyltransferase (E2) and lipoamide dehydrogenase (E3). The domain is also found in the dihydrolipoamide succinyltransferase component of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex .
