PNP-A contains a signal peptide domain and is secreted into the extracellular space. Co-expression analyses using microarray data suggest that PNP-A may function as a component of plant defence response and SAR in particular, and could be classified as a newly identified PR protein. It is stress responsive and can enhance its own expression. |
