CBL-interacting protein kinase 20;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary
Encodes a CBL-interacting serine/threonine protein kinase comprised of an N-terminal kinase catalytic domain similar to SNF1/AMPK and a unique C-terminal regulatory domain.
CIPK serine-threonine protein kinases interact with CBL proteins. Binding of a CBL protein to the regulatory NAF domain of CIPK protein lead to the activation of the kinase in a calcium-dependent manner (By similarity). Required for the abscisic acid-mediated (ABA) signaling pathway involved in seed germination and growth elongation inhibition.
