Gene : AT5G03490 A. thaliana

DB identifier  ? AT5G03490 Secondary Identifier  ? locus:2142654
Brief Description  UDP-Glycosyltransferase superfamily protein
TAIR Computational Description  UDP-Glycosyltransferase superfamily protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary  Encodes a dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHBA) glycosyltransferase. The Col-0 enzyme is responsible for biosynthesis of 2,3-DHBA xyloside and 2,5-DHBA xyloside. The Col-0 enzyme is specific for UDP-xylose and the C24 enzyme uses both UDP-glucose and UDP-xylose. This difference in sugar donor specificity was shown to be largely due to a single amino acid change between the two isoforms.
TAIR Short Description  UDP-Glycosyltransferase superfamily protein
TAIR Aliases  UGT89A2
