Protein phosphatase 2A regulatory B subunit family protein
TAIR Computational Description
Protein phosphatase 2A regulatory B subunit family protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary
Encodes B' regulatory subunit of PP2A (AtB'alpha), putative size of 57 kDa.Functions redundantly with the beta subunit do maintain sister chromatid cohesion during meiosis.
TAIR Short Description
Protein phosphatase 2A regulatory B subunit family protein
The B regulatory subunit may modulate substrate selectivity and catalytic activity, and may also direct the localization of the catalytic enzyme to a particular subcellular compartment (By similarity). Required for the formation of the PP2A holoenzyme that positively regulates brassinosteroid signaling by dephosphorylating and activating BZR1 (PubMed:21258370).
