Search our database by keyword

Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

TAIR Computational Description: Transducin family protein / WD-40 repeat family protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a protein with several WD40 repeats at the C-terminus and predicted protein-protein interaction domains at the N-terminus. Together with the TOPLESS-RELATED PROTEINS (TPRs), it is thought to be involved in transcriptional repression of root-promoting genes in the top half of the embryo during the transition stage of embryogenesis. It can also interact with IAA12 through the EAR domain of IAA12 and the CTLH domain of TPL. The ability of IAA12 to repress transcription is diminished in a tpl-1 mutant background.
TAIR Short Description: Transducin family protein / WD-40 repeat family protein
TAIR Aliases: TPL, WSIP1
