Search our database by keyword

Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

TAIR Computational Description: Chlorophyll A-B binding family protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes an early light-induced protein. ELIPs are thought not to be directly involved in the synthesis and assembly of specific photosynthetic complexes, but rather affect the biogenesis of all chlorophyll-binding complexes. A study (PMID 17553115) has shown that the chlorophyll synthesis pathway was downregulated as a result of constitutive ELIP2 expression, leading to decreased chlorophyll availability for the assembly of pigment-binding proteins for photosynthesis.
TAIR Short Description: Chlorophyll A-B binding family protein
