KHZ1 is a CCCH zinc-finger and KH domain protein belonging to the VII subfamily. It is expressed throughout the plant. Highly similar to KHZ2. khz1 mutants are late flowering and double mutants with khz2 are even more late flowering. Overexpression leads to increased rates of leaf senescence.
