TAIR Curator Summary	RPL24B encodes ribosomal protein L24, homolog of cytosolic RPL24, found in archaea and higher eukaryotes. Arabidopsis has two RPL24 homologs, RPL24A (AT2G36620) and RPL24B. Mutants showed defects in apical-basal gynoecium patterning similar to previously described ett and mp mutants. Transformation of stv1-1 mutant with a uORF-eliminated ETT construct partially suppressed the stv1 gynoecium phenotype, implying that STV1 could influence ETT translation through its uORFs. Regulated by TCP20.
