The PARP signature may bind NAD+ and attach the ADP-ribose-moiety from NAD+ to the target molecule. Its presence suggests a role for the protein in ADP ribosylation. Up-regulated by NaCl. SRO5 and P5CDH (an overlapping gene in the antisense orientation) generate 24-nt and 21-nt siRNAs, which together are components of a regulatory loop controlling reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and stress response. |
