| Description: | The goal of this experiment is to identify the genes that are specifically expressed during seconday xylem formation. Gene expression patterns between sapwood and cambial region of a mature black locust tree will be studied using Arabidopsis microarrays. The gene expression profile we obtain from this experiment will also be used in a comparative study with the gene expression profiles in Arabidopsis. |
