Title:Cell type specific analysis of root epidermis
Description:The experiment aims to analyse auxin signalling in root epidermis. We used two GFP marker lines (pCOBL9:GFP, pGL2:GFP) and fluorescent activated cell sorting to generate samples of trichoblast and atrichobast cells. Before protoplasting the roots were either mock treated or exposed to IAA (10µM) for 2 hours. Eventually the study will establish the topology of the auxin response system in these cell types and together with data from other sources will enable us to develop a model of auxin signalling in root epidermis. These samples represent a scaled down experiment aimed at testing the efficiency of our experimental protocol from cell sorting to microarray analysis.
