Title:Microarray analysis of Arabidopsis plants inoculated with HopAO1 mutants of Pst DC3000

Description:This experiment was performed to identify gene expression changes in wild type (Col-0) Arabidopsis plants after inoculation with Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) strain DC3000 or a mutant derivative lacking the type III effector tyrosine phosphatase HopAO1. Col-0 Arabidopsis plants were inoculated by vacuum-infiltration with suspensions of Pst DC3000 or the deltaHopAO1 mutant at 10e8 cfu/ml or with a mock inoculum of sterile water. Inoculated leaf tissues were harvested 7 hours after infiltration and used for RNA isolation and subsequent microarray analysis using Affymetrix ATH1 genechips.
