Title:Response of the transcription factor mutants wrky11and wrky17 to virulent Pseudomonas(Pst DC3000)

Description:WRKY11 and WRKY17 act in a partially redundant manner as negative regulators of basal resistance to Pseudomonas. In order to identify candidate target genes that are either directly or indirectly regulated by them, a genome-wide expression analysis in mutant plants was undertaken.Three independent experiments were performed in which leaves of 4 week-old wild-type Col-0, wrky11.1 (ZIGIA En-insertion line 5AAH57) or wrky17.1 plants (T-DNA insertion lines SALK_176337) were inoculated with Pst DC3000 (107 cfu per mL) and harvested 0, 2, 5 and 12 hours after inoculation. After verifying the induction of marker genes of the defence response by Q-RT-PCR, each individual sample from each of the three biologically independent experiments was used for the hybridisation of one GeneChip.
