Title:EPIDERMAL CELL DIFFERENTIATION COMPONENTS REGULATED BY GLABRA2
Date:2005-03-11
Description:GLABRA2 (GL2), a member of the HD-ZIP class of transcription factors in Arabidopsis, is involved in trichome, stomata and root-hair formation. Our work is attempting to clarify the role of the GL2 gene in epidermal cell differentiation. We followed two complementary approaches. We showed that the gl2-5 mutation can be complemented inducing the activity of GL2-G in 35S::GL2-G, gl2-5 plants. We propose the identification of putative targets of GL2 by microarray analysis. RNA samples will be prepared from10-days-old 35S::GL2-GR, gl2-5 seedlings treated (+) and untreated (-) with the DEX for 24h.
