Description: | With the use of a cDNA microarray consisting of 11,500 Arabidopsis cDNA elements generated as part of the Arabidopsis Functional Genomics Consortium (AFGC; http://afgc.stanford.edu). Gene expression profiles of wild type Arabidopsis seedlings were monitored at early stages during the transition from dark to light growing conditions, including de-etiolation, cotyledon expansion and inhibition of hypocotyls elongation. Red or blue light was used as light source to investigate the effects of light quality on Arabidopsis seedling photomorphogenesis. Note: A high fluence blue light has caused elevated temperature in the growing area of the treated sample. So please expect to see some heat shock related alteration of gene expression in this set of experiments. |
